Paypal & the 21 day 'hold' on funds

Anyone had any problems with this as a seller? Some googling produces some real horror stories about unwarranted chargebacks.

I just sold some tickets on Ebay and have had an email from Paypal saying they've been paid for but the funds are on hold as it's considered a 'risky' transaction (high-ish value and something I don't usually sell). I know it's a buyer protection thing Paypal have initiated but I'm a little bit iffy about posting without having the cash in my account...

as long as you don't rip the customer off you'll be fine . . . . If you dont send the tickets now you are asking for trouble! ..... Trust Pay pal! send them!

Ah well I did mean I'd refund the buyer if I didn't post them! I sold some other tickets a few days ago and there was no hold placed on the funds...hence the iffyness!

But make sure it is signed for postage or you're in for a potentially nasty surprise.

Yes, registered post is a definite, otherwise the buyer could claim non receipt and you'd not be able to do anything to stop the charge back.

they can still claim non receipt. They just say you posted an empty envelope. Paypal always side with the buyer. my advice refund and walk away.
