One year anniversary

Hey, going unregged lest my cover be blown !

I am still eighteen and in secondary school, and have been going out with my girlfriend for eleven months now, soon to be a year. I'm looking at something to get her for our anniversary, but I'm not sure what the etiquette is or if the ideas I have are good.

I don't know how much to spend - siblings and parents are useless ("In my day we didn't go out with the same girl for that long, so...!" and the like).

I would like to get her something really special though, because, stupid as it may sound for an eighteen year old to say this, I really do love her...she is everything to me. We're quite a mature couple for our age (not the "omgaaawwwzz i luv u xxx!!" types at all) so...well, suffice to say, I'd like to get her something she will always remember and cherish.

She loves music (beatles, rolling stones, the who), films...essentially everything normal people like, I suppose theres no point in listing those things.

The idea I had was following on from her love of films - we both share a love of Lord of the Rings, and I was thinking of getting her the Evenstar, the necklace worn by Arwen in the movie, and getting the box inscribed (is this possible?) with the date, and the message "It is mine to give to whom I wish....just like my heart". I like this idea because she dislikes me getting her big things, as it makes her feel bad, but I think its a nice enough gift.

http://www.andurilcollections.com/catalog/images/LR0064_Evenstar%20Necklace%204.jpg is a picture, for those interested.

Her newest love is of the Twighlight series of books though, which I honestly have no clue about, I have spent the night researching though, and there is a few things I could get her, and a few quotes I could use to show my love ("I dream of being with you forver") and such, but as this is a new interest of hers, I'm scared it could be fleeting and giving her a gift to do with it would be stupid.

The other idea I have is silly - a heart shaped water bottle from www.thinkgeek.com .... she likes water bottles and gets a sore back sometimes so I wanted to get her this for Valentine's, but we decided not to give gifts.

Can anyone give me any opinions or advice please ?

Just to compare, for my birthday in December, she got me a watch that was around €90, honestly money is no object to me though if it is the right gift that I know will make her happy, but I know if I spend too much it will upset her. The Evenstar would be about €120 I suppose, maybe less, the twilight perfume is actually being discontinued due to a lawsuit and would be about €80 all in, the hot water bottle is only about a tenner, but I think it would be sweet ! :)

I would be concerned about you spending so much money at your age but personally I think that the necklace is lovely, she will have it to cherish the rest of her life.
