Headset Advice

Turns out I got a bit ahead of myself.
I was trying to replace the headset on my MTB.
I picked up this set thinking I was good to go.
Turns out it doesn't have the fork crown races that I need. Too late because I've cut out the old ones :)
The headset is the right size, 1 1/8 for my fork. What crowns to I need?
From the crown I cut out, it appear to have to have a diameter (external, that part that slots into frame) to 34mm.
Anyone know much about this/where I can pick them up?

That headset is completely wrong for your bike. It's only suitable for bikes with "integrated headsets" i.e. there are no cups pressed into the frame, just bearings.

You CUT OUT the old headset cups? Jaysus. Any deformation to the head tube?

What is the bike? You probably need a standard headset like this:

    Good ol' dremel :)
No, no damage. Not an epensive bike anyway.
Aye, had a feeling I got the wrong thing. What happens when I buy stuff during a phone conference :) They weren't pricey anyway and might come in useful.
    It's a scott voltage, YZ2, from I'd say 2003 or so.
    Cheers for the heads up.
