Any of the major (national or otherwise) journals publishing on the Irish recession yet?

I wouldnt mind getting up to date, and I have little knowledge of the main publications in Economics.

    Thanks!

Nah, not that I know of. Economics journals rarely go for "in the news" articles, for better or worse. It's very hard to unscramble the eggs within the first few years.

The major economics journals can be found here, with a reasonable "ranking".

Your best bet would be the two main Irish journals: the Economic and Social Review or the ESRI's Quarterly Economic Commentary. The only thing that I can find in either that is even closely-related is this and it focuses on data up to 2007 :)

I'd also provide a friendly warning that if you're not very familiar with mathematics and statistics, you probably won't understand nearly anything that's published in an economics journal. I wasn't able to understand economics journals until the fourth year of my undergrad and many journals even go beyond the scope of economists who don't specialise in that particular area.

Thanks for that, I probably wont, I have a bit of quants behind me but nothing specific to economics.

Tried ESR but our library is restricted to last year.

I'm assuming the usual R&R process will put anything at early 2010....
