Laptop with new processor and motherboard -help with os!

    Hi

    I got my hands on a beautiful HP DV2000 which had a faulty 32bit intel motherboard and a dead hd.
    I mistakenly bought a new motherboard which turned out to be for a 64bit amd chip. So went and bought the amd turin chip and cooler.
    The laptop originally had 32bit Vista Home premium.
    I Installed a new formated HD
    I ordered HP's restore 32 bitDVD for it, but it won't work-should it?. I have vista 64bit Ultimate but it hangs during the install.
    Any advice gratefully received!!
