What if someone who was meant to sign on today forgot to? What should he/she do?

Go to exchange tommorow. Say you forgot.

If it's your first time, or first time in a while, **** happens.

It it's every month, you might be docked.

Go tomorrow and do a mea culpa. Get reminded it's important to sign on, yadda, yadda, yadda.

If you put it off, there may very well be no money there next week, then repeat as above.

+1 to dresden8's advice - sign tomorrow and take the yadda yadda referred to .

I dont know if it's department or local office policy but when I was signing on last year and missed my signing day for the first and only time my local office delayed my payment by 2 days (they informed me of this on signing) . As (bad) luck would have it my payment day was thursday and it was over a bank holiday weekend so payment was in effect delayed by 5 days . You might want to ask them will your payment be delayed as you'll obviously need to budget accordingly .
