Apologies if I've put this in the wrong place. Anyone come across the bsod on DEll inspiron 1721, (about 18 months old), running Vista Home, UMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME (0x000000ed)
Wont boot into safe mode, keeps popping up blue screen
Have reseated Both hard drives
Have not added software or hardware recently
Just simply reading an email when this happened
Laptop not dropped !!
And battery power did not run out lately
Booted into PSA also, ran thru memory tests fine

Booted from vista install disk and selected repair option but could not find an OS to restore???

Oh man, am I screwed?????, I could call DELL, and I probably WILL have to but I REALLLLLY dont want to

Any, I mean any, ideas at all???
