Im enjoying it more than the last season, we are learning a good deal about past events on the island and each episode seems to have a good amount of information/answers and leaves you wanting to see the next one.

I'll give you an objective view. It's not bad. It will never send chills down you're spine like season 1 and 2 did but it is watchable. It is by no means the must see TV show it used to be and I think people who are as hooked as they were two years ago have possibly not noticed what has been only a gradual but very substantial decline in quality over the last three years. The storytelling is somewhat scattered and the rationale for the goings on is just down right ridiculous but having said that, watching Sci-Fi shows is about suspension of belief for that one hour (read: 38 mins) slot. If I were you I'd catch up because it is worth it but be prepared to be asking yourself many questions like "who the hell is that guy?" and "where the hell did I see her before?".

If I'm to be honest I’m losing faith in it! I'm trying but I'm struggling to get into it like previous seasons.... I don’t think the quality is anywhere near to season 1 & 2 and at this stage nobody know where there at IMO

Yes, this season is good, very good, in fact. But, having said that, like a lot of people, I have some deep reservations about the direction of the current season. There's been a fundamental change in the basic nature of the show which we're all still getting to grips with. However, the show has never ceased to be entertaining imo and the current season is no exception.

Although if you haven't watched any of season 5 yet, then I'd recommend waiting another while. The show always plays better when you can watch a big chunk of it together, and I think that will be especially true of this season.

Couldn't agree more. I first watched season 1-3 when I was ill in about a week (cheers xtra-vision;)). It's an absolute killer going from that to waiting a week to find out what happens, but if I had the choice, I'd wait to watch this season in 1 or 2 sessions.

    You'd be paralyzed...!!!!

its good but i fear the writers havent a clue what to do and are making up as they go along.

But for a show that was predicted finished last year its made a good comeback

    I hated last season.

    Didn't much like season 3.

Season 2 was disappointing after season one.

So far this season, imo, has been great. It's a really interesting show again and I honestly didn't think that was possible.

I'm enjoying it but I'm also very concerned that the writers don't know where they're going with the story at all, the direction seems to have completely changed.

i can't believe people here are complaining about the new format of the show. for 4 seasons people here haved bitched about the slowness and lack of answers; now that we're getting a fast paced show with answers, people are still bitching! We have had more than enough character development and falshbacks, and pointless filler episodes during the first 3 seasons, it's time to move on and begin wrapping up the show over the final 2 seasons.

and what is with people saying season 2 was great. i loved it myself but when it was on loads of people were saying it was crap. and the way people hold season 1 in such high regard, there were a fair few boring episodes in season 1.

Definitely worth getting on board with season 5! And contrary to some here, I think the show as a whole has been improving steadily - particularly since the break they took part-way through season 3. There's a definite continuation of plots from season 4 and there seems to be a greater sense of pushing the story forwards with purpose and getting it told.

Well I don't understand how people can say that the writers do not seem to know where the show is going.

The opposite is the case. When Season 1 & 2 were made the writers had a general outline in their heads but did not know how many seasons there would be and as a result I found Season 2 to be very weak as it was just padded out and the story did not move along.

However, since mid season 3 they have known that there would be 6 seasons only and this has given the writers a sense of purpose and direction.
For me Season 4 was great, and season 5 so far has been very good. I find there is no more rambling and I can see it building up to a big climax.
Each week there are questions being answered.

Also, glad that the flashbacks have stopped. Seasons 1-3 were all about character development and scene setting, and letting us know how the characters got to the island, and this season is more about happenings on and off the island. I think it's going to lead up to an explaination as to why these specific characters are on the island in the first place (which I think they will all have an important common link).

It's definitely the highlight of the TV week for me!

    yeah its good, but the
    time travel thing
is a bit weird and ya find yourself a bit (yes ill say it) lost with the show, but in all ive enjoyed watching it

Im loving the new series. They have less episodes to cover the story so there is less padding. Its very fast paced which some people wont like, but as it gets closer to the end I find it more and more fascinating.
