Can anyone point me in the direction of a website that covers licencing laws for selling alcoholic beverages, namely wines and spirits?

I curious to know how one goes about obtaining a licence to sell wines, spirits and bottled beers for a cafe style environment, and what is the cost. What constitutes a pub - is it the selling of beer on draught?

Let me khnow if you find one. It is a very arcane area of law so I would be curious to know who would set up such a website.

You can buy a pub licence for €150,000. You must be in possession of suitable premises and be of good character to acquire the licence. A pub is a premises which sells drink for consumption on the premises. It is distinct from a hotel or restaurant, which have separate kinds of licence to sell drink. A hotel needs a minimum number of bedrooms. A restaurant needs tables and a large percentage of turnover derived from sales of food.
