Goto both websites on any day and they'll never have the same temperature for Dublin.. Like now, one says 11c and the other says 7c

Anyways, which is a better read? and for what reasons?

The one that says it's 11c. That would put me in a better mood. I want that one!

It's 10 degrees, so whichever one was saying 11 is closest and clearly more trustworthy...

I prrefer the Times. Indo is very dodgy on a lot of things. Times can be very dry though.

I always found the Indo too rural/agricultural in it's focus. And don't get me started on it's tabloid offspring the Herald..

Irish or London Times for me.

    Definitely prefer the Irish Times.

The indo is practically a tabloid in broadsheet form at this stage. Some of the opinion pieces are unreal.

The Indo, metro version. Easier to fold.

Don't you mean Broadsheet in Tabloid form, as it is supposed to be a broadsheet paper but is made into a tabloid. Sorry for the smartass reference

Anyway I prefer The irish Times, the Indo is becoming more like the Hearld nowadays

The amount of hot air emanating from the Indo probably skews the reading. I'd go with the Times.

I like the Irish Times, because it has real news in it.

I concur with Wreck - the Indo is tabloid in content and the non-metro edition is physically a broadsheet.

The Times is much better but I wish it had a tabloid edition, much easier to read at coffee.

I prefer the Times, as it's the only proper Irish newspaper at the moment.

And for those who don't like the broadsheet format, www.irishtimes.com.

I think you'd have get me down to an option of obscene levels of torture before I'd pick anything from Independent Newspapers.

    Student-priced Times ftw:cool:

I much prefer the Irish Times but the Indo's format makes it much easier to read. Broadsheets are impossible to read in a casual manner.

The Times is the only decent paper in the country. The Indo might as well ditch the broadsheet and become a fully fledged tabloid because for the past few years its starting to read like one.

News of the World ftw. Its 23 degrees and Freddie Star ate my hamster!!!!

I'd much prefer the Times. Yeah it can be a bit dry but I'd prefer not to get my excitement from reading newspapers that contain more drama/fiction than news (e.g. the Indo and everything else further down the food chain)

    iGoogle...

You can put a little bit of everything on it...only read what you want :)

My most used website...with feeds from BBC the Irish papers, my Gmail account etc...would be lost without it.

Independent is a shít rag disguised (poorly) as a respectable publication.

The Times, hands down, because they were smart enough to fob Kevin Myers onto the Indo.

They say the move caused the quality of both papers to double.

Also, for those of you who can't hack the broadsheet format, practice makes perfect! I can read the times standing in the wind, or on a crowded bus.
