Anyone know any more on this, link to rte, the Russians seem to be the culprits but are saying they didn't do it.

Its said to wash up on the wexford coast in 16 days. What makes this worse however it took so long to report and there is no hope for containment now as the oil has spread

What is annoying is that they deny it, or at least haven't owned up to it!

well if it hits the coast it will make a hell of mess and kill a lot of marine life.

Lucky the direction of the tide flow on the south coast is east west. This will help to keep the slick drifting alongside the coast and mayby miss the coast.

Its a strong south to east winds eithier south or south south east or east that is the big risk. Some but not all south west west winds are a risk also Those directions if the wind is strong risk to make the slick hit the ROI coast.

No wind or north type winds will help keep the slick away from the coast. The time to reach british coast might mean that its evaported a lot of the lighter distilates fuels and leave behind tar balls which are easier to scoop up and reduce the risk of big polution.

Its still a hell of a mess and a good reason to switch out of oil to bio fuels which are less risky
