I am having terrible problems with BT for my broadband and am going to cancel with them , I will also be canceling the phone line rental as I never use it ! Will this effect my SKY in anyway ? I know i wont be able to order box office movies but that does not really bother me .

I have 3 sky boxes altogether.

Not really. Unless you have multi-room. They do use it there to make sure you haven't given one of the boxes to someone else.

You will need the phoneline for your multiroom subscription or face a warning and charged for 3 full subscriptions. Its part of your terms and conditions when you signed up. Reason being is that they do a callback to Sky just to make sure there still at the same address.

    Then your options are:

    1) Keep a phone line
    2) Get broadband that supports a digibox (e.g. Digiweb Metro)
    3) Drop Multiroom
    4) Take the chance. There's mixed reports on how well Sky police the phone line requirement. After the first warning (and consensus is that Sky will always send a letter before charging you the full subscription), do one of the above 3!
