    Who's got it?

    What ya think?

I bought it last thursday and I haven't played anything else since, I finished it last night but there's still hours of playing time left, Even before DLC comes out for it.

Its kinda like a Starship Troopers themed Pixeljunk Monsters but just as addictive ;)

    Well worth the €7 pricetag

whats the story with it i was looking at it but wasnt sure is it just a constant stream of aliens you shoot or do you set up all your traps and weapons and then release the aliens see how many you kill ?

    Erm well kinda

Have you ever played Pixeljunk Monsters?

Aliens come in waves, Some are quiet big and slow and hard to kill. Some are small and fast and easy to kill, Its all about placing the right weapon in the rght position,

Then upgrading the shizzle out of that weapon and placing more around it preparing for future waves, Its more interesting than it sounds I assure you :D

great game, although it's harder and a lot more complex than pixeljunk monsters.

In PJM you basically just need to get fire, lasers and maybe mortars and then it's game over. With Savage Moon you have to balance defence, offence and profits on top of that you have to balance upgrades, purchases or more individual units. I'm enjoying it although the perfectionist in me hates not being able to perfectly defend my base for the whole round.

I also tend to purchase new turrets fast to try and overwhelm the creeps, if you get the timing wrong in the slightest a whole train of them will get through and into your base.

Definitely the best tower defence game I've played in a long time.

Whats funny is I was describing this game to a friend, but called it "Harvest Moon" by accident. After I'd described the game he said "wow they are really taking the Harvest Moon series in a new direction by the sounds of that". It was only when I got home that I realized my mistake, lol :D When I called him he said he was picturing all these farmyard animals just being torn to pieces by machine gun fire, lol.

Funny that as I found PJM to be much harder! Especially to perfect clear the stages!

Im still working on Perfect clearing the last map on the first level.

Put it like this, I got SM last Thursday and I finished it last night. I got PJM a good few months ago and I still cant beat it. PJM didn't have me hooked on it like SM did/does though, I haven't played anything else since Thursday. I tell a lie, 10 Mins of Skate 2 cause I got it new the other day,

It could be that our tactics our different. In PJM it was always lasers, fire and mortars (and lightning once I unlocked it) and I never had a problem. I found PJM easy to get perfects as each level is always exactly the same so once you've played through it a few times its pretty simple to remember when to buy and when to sell for the next round of creeps (protip: gold arrows are amazing, also gold air turrets are excellent against all flying units, including bees if you have enough of them)

In SM its always the air turrets, mortars and mine layers all upgraded to level 5 with as many blocking towers as possible bottlenecking the route into my base. But the route the creeps takes changes so you can't always plan for it, also a lot depends on how you balance your abilities, sometimes I forget to balance towards shields then get attacked and lose a load of turrets.

What strategy did you tend to use for SM?

Well of course it depends on what moon/map Im playing and if I have played it before, I got a bit of a fright on the last map the first time I played it, I didn't know there were two bases to defend until it was too late :p

Basically the stragety is very simple, Build a lot of Machine Guns/Partical Towers/Motar Towers up as high over a bottleneck as possible and get tons of Amp towers in behind the walls, Then just upgrade the living shyte out of them :)

Of course (AMPed) Repair towers are a must on all later maps.

You would prob get away with having as little as 2 or 3 anti-air towers on most maps *AS LONG AS THEY'RE UPGRADED TO LEVEL 5 WITH A LEVEL 5 AMP TOWER BESIDE IT*

I'll give you my SM Trophies if you give me your PJM ones :p:p
