FELT Bikes

Have the option of buying another bike through the cycle to work scheme. Company have arranged some good deals with Releigh2work.
basically, I'd get a 20% discount off models from the ranges Raleigh, DiamondBack, Eurotrek, Felt, Trek and BH.

I currently have a Kellys ARC (which I bought off one of the lads on here)-which is going well, so I probably dont really need a new bike.

Anyone got any thoughts on the Felt Range - Budget would be in the region of 700-800 (after all the discounts and tax incentives etc).

They currently have one on display in my job at 7k...

    Cheers in advance

They're a good brand with a wide range. What are you looking for? Mountainbike? Road Bike? Singlespeed? Cross Bike?

Bear in mind you can only avail of the government incentive once every five years (with the same employer), so if you're planning on staying in the same job you might not want to rush into it.

I have a Sony Vaio with a similar problem, it is actually really annoying. Bad enough when sitting at my desk, I can only imagine it would be a disaster in the middle of a race.

Sorry didn't mean to be cryptic - it is all over the web.

Seatpost is an issue but can be fixed.

Its a problem with all the 07/08 bikes and the Bayonet forks. They come loose and can't be permanently tightened. Besides the steering, braking and safety implications there is the damage that is done to the frame from the hammering of a lose bayonet fork/headset.

Its fixed on the 09 DA but the rest of the 09 Bayonet designs weren't fixed.

OK, so we've got seat-post clamp, triangular wheels and a space bar problem. What a shít bike.

I have a Felt F65. Alu. frame with Carbon fork and seat stays with full Ultegra groupset. I have to say it's an excellent bike. I am considering upgrading to something from the "Z" Series as this is a relaxed geometry for the endurance and sportif rides.

Would recommend one. And anyway, can someone point out an absolutely flawless bike to me?? :D

Do any of the bike shops around Dublin stock Felt bikes? I'm considering getting a Felt Dispatch (fixie), but can't seem to find an Irish dealer.

    Thanks.

Eurocycles do them. In the back of my head I seem to recall seeing them in Joe Daly's as well although may be mistaken. 01 298 1485 if you want to check with them.

Yup. I called them up (in Swords) and a chap called Aiden was very helpful.

    Thanks for the help.
