considering the discussions here, i think this new release will be well suited for all of you looking for something a little different.

quiet design records has released a lovely new compilation titled, 'spectra: guitar in the 21st century'- this collection of works provides a contemporary perspective for the unconventional sounds that can be generated from the guitar. artists include tetuzi akiyama, cory allen, erdem helvacioglu, jandek, kim myhr, duane pitre, sebastien roux, keith rowe and mike vernusky.

furthering the legacy of innovation and expression that the guitar now represents, spectra is a reverberance of living artists creating music for guitar as an acoustic, electric, and meta-instrument.

more information and audio samples can found at http://www.quietdesign.us

not trying to spam here, but i think you all will find new sounds and pleasures in this release....

If I was a bastard I'd call it spam but we'll let it slide seeing as its right up our alley ;)

Sounds pretty good. I saw Keith Rowe play live once and it was an interesting experience to be sure. I think we've had a thread on prepared guitar here before, might be worth digging it up.
