Can i ask what you are basing these prices on?
    - €15000 seems very low, would €16.5/17K not be more accurate for OP's car?
    - Would €11.5/12K not be a more accurate price for a 2003 3 series coupe (M spec)?

OP ~ Are you looking to sell privately or trade in? Thanks

My buddy has a very sililar 2002 (not a 2003 like above) 325Ci, M-Sport Spec, about 70k miles and imaculate like above. Its been on sale for the last year and the price has now dropped to 8k and still no interest. He's probably just going to keep it now.

    Plus:

    From a dealer with warranty

A year newer on a private sale (and it wont sell for full price either - probably 2-3k ish less)
    http://www.carzone.ie/search/BMW/3-Series/320-Coup/200908191861929/advert

And thats just without going on adverts.ie etc.

My point is that if someone is going to go the 6 cylinder petrol route in one there is loads of choice out there so you really need to price to the market if you want to shift the car

    Couldn't agree more EPM.

I think the OP would have a slightly easier time shifting their 2006 318i, 2L black 26K miles then your friend's 325? (In theory!)

My advise would be to just trade in the car, although you get less cash alot of the headache is removed.

It's not my car or a friend's car just a car I'm interested in. It has all the spec I want but it just seems on the pricey side especially considering what I could get it from the UK for. If I could get it for 10/11 k I'd be delighted.

No harm in chancing it. I'd say it could work in your favour tbh

To give you an idea of where the market is for BMW 3 series at the moment, a 2007 diesel 3 series with efficient dynamics sold at Merlin auctions last Saturday (on an English plate) for €12k, add VRT and fees and a 2007 was costing €18k all in.

Think the particular car had about 50k miles on the clock
