I am loving her character, it is brilliant. I am loving the mix between the professional and the human.

Am really looking forward to seeing how her character progresses through out the rest of the series. i think we may be seeing her again in future series.

What are other peoples thoughts on Agent Walker?

    Yes and no

I like her, but dont like the way shes goin from by-the-book agent to merciless rogue, too fast

    And she's probably a mole!

Ahh no. please don't say she is a mole. I can really see her becoming a regular cast member on a couple of series.
The thing is if she is fbi, she will have all the training to be hardass, but doing it by the book.

I could definitely see her singing backing vocals in Clannad

Agent Walker is a great character, she is so conflicted with her actions, knowing that under the circumstances she has no other choice but that it goes against everything she believes in as an FBI agent.

I agree with the Irish cailín-ness about her, dark red hair and freckles

I like that aspect, but its happening too fast and too strongly

Its good that she's trying to strike a balance between the right thing and the necessary thing

But she came across as a big wannabe hard-man in earlier episodes

I like her I have to say. Her acting ability struck me the most when she was being dragged out of the van to be shot by Jack Bauer, there was something about the expression on her face that actually looked like the eyes of someone who was aware they where about to die.

I find her acting to be pretty good, but her character and development have been really badly written. The whole "what is wrong?" "what is right?" inner turmoil is getting a little old as she seems to swing wildly between the two. But, like I said, this is due to poor writing and not her acting ability.

I can see her going on to bigger and better things after this.

Didn't Kiefer Sutherland say at some point that this would be his last series? (and I think there was also a hint that 24 would carry on). I wonder if she's being lined up as the replacement.

Most likely, i've a feeling he'll be bailing and she may well be the replacement.

    I think she's great!

She changed very fast from a timid by the book fed, to a hardass make my own rules, give me the information or i'll blow your brains out, jack bauer-y, legal grey zoney type of agent, what it took about 3 or 4 hours? :p

I agree if Kiefer leaves, she will be the new Jack Bauer type character.

I'd sorta agree about the character.
I'm never mad about Jack's sidekicks but hey, at least she's not Chase (shudders).

I don't agree with the mole theory though.

My money's on that pointess, attractive blonde that the FBI guy is nailing on the side.
Whenever characters that suit that profile are introduced they're usually a mole.

Other than that I can only suspect that FBI chick with the glasses.
No character could really be that lame...

I can see Walker going more and more like Jack as time goes on - while, like Jack, not liking what she has to do to get the job done, doing it in a ruthless way all the same... and I can see that coming between her and Larry to the point that it splits them apart.
I agree if Kiefer leaves, she will be the new Jack Bauer type character.

Not a chance. Could you see Chase taking Jack's role in a Jack-free 24?

If Kiefer leaves permanently, 24 ends, imho.

Or, in true 24 style, having to choose between saving him and disarming a bomb or something :)

Chase no, I could see them trying Walker for a season at least, or possibly killing off Jack with a few episodes to go this season to try her out and gauge the reaction.

Doubt that somehow as Kiefer Sutherland's signed up for 3 more seasons

My mistake. He does however have a contract for another season (Day 8) and hasn't yet confirmed whether that will be his last.

Reeeneeeeee replacing Jack? Worst idea ever. If that ever gets announced it will be an official day of mourning for me.

    You mean a silent clock

I just hope they dont do too many seasons and kill the show again

    No chance.
Jack would suspect she was planning a coup against him,
turn rougue, rub her out, receive a Presidential Pardon, get reinstated
and still be home in time to watch Coronation Street...

For me the show isn't what it used to be. I am starting to wonder if watching it on TV is what kills it for me.

I watched 1-5 on DVD and then was disappointed as hell with 6.

Walker is hot as hell but I don't think she really fits in. Not a hope of being Sutherland's replacement. I don't think there has ever been a show where the lead is so irreplacable.

IMO the best seasons were 2 and 3.
Season 2 for the 'hacksaw' scene if nothing else.
Season 3 for 'The Salazars', Ramon was class.

They were excellent seasons, apart from Chase of course.

God is it just me or is 24 full of terrible supporting characters?

Tony - Always looks irritated and says everything in that sarky tone.
2 Main FBI guys - Total dicks.
That FBI chick with the glasses - Uber lame...
The President - Useless, come back 2Pac all is forgiven...

WTF is with Bill Buchannan, he looks like he's aged by over 10 years since we saw him last.

All these supporting characters seem to do is make Jack Baur come across even better...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,734 ✭✭✭✭noodler

I am happy they got him out of the confines of CTU at leastm the Silver Fox has brooded in the halls of CTU for long enough.

Now all he needs is dual-wielding shotguns.
