    nothing, they won't care.

I informed my insurers that i got 2 points for speeding, was told it won;t have an effect and my policy came down that year.

Generally 2 points has no effect at all.

2 points won't affect your premium, some companies don't put that much emphasis on a low amount of penalty points.

2 points had no affect on my premium either.

I'd say you need to start worry if you go past 4 penalty points

Most companies don't care about two points - although Hibernian do.

I have 4 points (speeding twice). Has no affect on my motor premium.

    2 more points would however.

as a matter of interest, what action do Hibernian take when you inform them of penalty points?
increased premium? And if so, is it by much?

Not sure. I was going through a broker who said the price went up once he included my two points.

I remember hearing at the time penalty points were introduced that insurance companies wouldn't be allowed to alter your premium based on penalty points until you had six or more...

Can't be sure but I do remember hearing it...

Nothing (I hope). It's a lower value and insurance group than the current car.
