    Yes.
You can get PCI or PCI express or USB DVB-S cards for a PC that allow you to watch TV on your PC (HTPC).

For example, I have a silent PC that looks more like an amp from a sound system sitting under my TV. It has a dual DVB-S card and a dual analogue card in it so I can watch/record all free satellite channels and Irish analogue channels - it's all operated by a single remote. It has a DVD player built in. It has all my music and photos on it too.

If you have more questions, it might be worth taking them to theHTPC & Media Centre forum.

yes, it will work for MPEG2 - standard definition. It will not work on HD channels.

I think bbchd and itvhd are still running in dvb-s , so that card should work. You can do the mpeg4 decoding in software. But if/when they move over to dvb-s2 that card wont work for those HD channels.

It will work for BBCHD - they're still using DVB-S.
