taxing new "2nd hand car" online?

hi just got my vrc in the post for a 2007 car i purchased. will i receive the motor tax renewal form shortly so i can tax car online or do i have to do something else, or go to the motor tax office? i have insurance cert. thanks

Is the car taxed at the moment? If not, the renewal letter has probably gone to the old address by now. You can do it by post as well, shouldn't be more than a few working days.

just ring motor tax office and give them car details..As you said its already transferred to your name, they will re-send the motor tax letter with online PIN.
