Poker in Galway

    Hey guys,

    I'm planning on going to college in galway this year and was wondering whats the poker scene like there. I've heard there's the 4aces and the Eglington, but can anyone give me any feedback on the range of stakes and games available in each. Replies much appreciated.

    Hi Reillyman

    We hold tournaments every night , and in the afternoons Tuesday , Wednesday , and Thursday with Wednesday night being our busiest.
    We also hold cash games every night and these can vary for €100 to €500 buy in stakes and blinds at 1/2 , 2/5 omaha and holdem
    our rake is 3.3%
    We also run a very popular league for both cash and tournament players which culminates in a freerole final for each
    Membership is free all we require is a valid ID passport , drivers licence or garda age card.

    Btw if you are coming down to Galway make sure its not all poker ! we have one of the best nightlifes too :D

    Ah well fcuk it! I guess that puts off our proposed trip their next month(some of us aint 18 yet). Didn't think ye'd be that strict. Thanks alot for the info David, much appreciated, will make sure to come down to the eglington in september(presuming the leaving cert goes to plan;)).
