    Hi All,

I got few online motor insurance quote for Honda Civic 1.5LSI but not sure if I can get any cheaper if I call them? I am 32 on Irish Provisional License with 2 years NCD.

    Fully Comprehensive quotes -
    www.NoNonsense.ie - 816 euro
    www.25plus.ie - 870 euro
    www.insure.ie - 757 euro

Can someone advice on whether I can get cheaper quote? In case if I call them do they reduce the quote or the online quote are the final amount they can give? Any guidance appreciated.

    Thanks.

call the insurance companies directly and ask them to beat the broker / competitors price

then weather they do or they dont beat it ask them to explain exactly what they are including for that price

the cheapest quote is not always the best quote

I'm with Allianz, they were surprisingly reasonable.
Used to be with AXA for about 5 years but they went from being one of the cheapest quotes I got in the early days to the most expensive by far after 5 years. Apparently insurance companies will start giving you uncompetitive rates if you have been with them for long enough. They reckon you are unlikely to leave and just pay the premium without shopping around.

Lesson here - ring everybody, brokers, direct etc

Dont go anywhere near Quinn, kinda like Ryanair only nastier. Was with them years ago and they changed the price of the policy without telling me and proceeded to remove €1000 from my bank a/c (thro dd).
Wanted to sue me when I cancelled the policy but they ran a mile when I got a solicitor to contact them on my behalf. Never got my money back, legal fees was gonna cost a fortune.
    They are akin to Scientology.

    Good luck.
