Start up / Boot Screen problem, can't access windows

    Hi,

Any help you can give with a problem start screen would be appreciated!

I need to get rid of a startup screen that I changed from my original screen, which gave me access to my desktop once I put in a password but the new screen doesn't ask for a password and there are no buttons to access the next screen on it.

I used a program called TuneUp2009 to change the start up screen as windows boots up. Now when it gets to the new screen (which I downloaded from their website), it doesn't go any further and I can't access windows.

What used to happen was that a password screen would pop up and after I entered the password, Windows would boot properly and I had full access to my desktop.

I made the following changes to the startup screen in my Windows XP through Tuneup2009.

Customise Windows : Change Boot Screen : Add Bootscreen from online catalogue.

Now when windows boots up it gets as far as this new boot screen and doesn't go any further.

I have two drives C: and E: on the same machine.

I can log into my C: drive but when I try to boot windows from the E: drive I get stuck on this new boot screen. There are no buttons on the screen to enable me to get to the sign in stage i.e. admin name and password section which normally appears.

Can you please help me get past this boot screen? I can't open windows on the E: drive and open TuneUp2009 in order to remove the screen.

    Any help much appreciated!

press f8 while it's booting and choose safe mode with networking.
And undo what you did from there.

Thanks again Blackgold! I was able to go in and fix it using safemode.

I can't say that the Tuneup customer service guys were as helpful because
    they were of no use.

    Cheers man :)
