Eggy/Stale Water smell when washing machine on on!

    Hiya 2 bed house with washing machine and I get an eggy kinda smell when washing machine is on. The smell appears to be coming up from the floor in the kitchen. I dont get it in the press under the sink or anything. Think its defo to do with the washing machine and maybe the pipe for waste is blocked. Has anyone else had this prob, here 4 yrs!

    Filter probably blocked causing water to get trapped and then smell

    how do u clean filter? and do u mean filter in washing machine?

    Yeap, should be a circular filter on the front down at the bottom... when taking this out be ready for a bit of water...

    I seem to have the same problem and it ain't the filter as the machine is new and has only been used about 4 times!
