Planting Snowdrop bulbs

I bought some snowdrop bulbs a few weeks back in small pots. The plants are now starting to emerge out of the soil now (in the green as the phrase goes!), so Im debating when to actually plant them outside and how deep they need to be planted as the bulbs in the pots seem to be potted quite shallow. Any help would be great!

The rule of thumb with all bulbs is to plant to a depth the same as the height of the bulb itself. So smaller bulbs like snowdrops are planted at a shallower depth than say daffodils. I'd keep the snowdrops in the pots until the flowers are gone over and then plant them out. I planted some snowdrops in the green last March and had much better success than I ever had planting bulbs in autumn.
