Scenic walk/hike along the West

Hey, myself and a mate want to go for a few days walk along the west, somewhere scenic. Thing is we've never been to that side of Ireland so posting here to see if anyone has ever done somethine like this or has any idea of place.

What we want to do is, when the weather gets better, walk for 25km+ each day from town to town along scenic routes. See rural and beautiful Ireland but most importantly to test ourselves; to live deliberetly for once. Once arrived at a town/village we may camp or stay in a B&B or whatever and enjoy a pint in some real Irish bars. We plan on doing this for at least 3 days.

If anyone has any good routes please let me know. I'm thinking Kerry?

Guess the most obvious one is...

    Lovely scenery.

    Beara is another lovely area.

Trying to think of a loop you can do in three days. You could do three stages like Sneem - Kenmare, Kenmare-Black Valley, Black Valley-Glenbeigh but you will obviously need to leave a car at the start and end. Perhaps, on the Beara Way, you could do Castletownbere-Allihies, Allihies-Dursey-Allihies, Allihies-Castletownbere.

Awesome thanks! Kerry Way looks good! I wonder is it possible to walk the whole thing in 3 days?

Its over 215km long. Now you may be able to lop off sections, like skipping Killarney and Cahirciveen, but still think it would be far too long. Plus its not tarred, and while there is a path there are streams crossing it, it gets wet, its far from level etc. Id' say Sneem Glenbeigh as outlined above would be good enough going in 3 days.

You could also try the Dingle Way. Not familiar with it, so here

I guess you could go Dingle, Dunquin, Ballycurrane, Cloghane and back over the Conor Pass direct to Dingle (Conor Pass not on the mapped route there, its the road from Cloghane to Dingle)

25+km per day will be way out tough if you are offroad and carrying your kit. on roads it would be doable. personally if i were doing it on roads i would use bikes and paniers. walking all day on roads is tough on the old feet and back.
