Does anyone remember the episode where jacob was 'invisible' on chair?
I was thinking maybe Jacob was kind of a ghost who took over Christians dead body? I know that Christian made a reference to Jack tonight in show but that might be because a little part of Christian came alive again when Jacob's ghost took over his body.....
    anyway just an idea

When John asked Christian if he was Jacob, though, he said he wasn't but that he could speak for him.

    No, he wasn't.

Or rather, we've been given absolutely no evidence to date that he was.

well we've seen him on the island already so where taht leaves us nobody will ever know!

well we don't know if he was on island before but i presume he was if he is as important to the show as we are being led to believe.

Do we know yet what was supposed to be happening to lockes body? cremated, buried or not?
Will they bring the body back with them to the island if not?

That's interesting...maybe Locke will have to do something similar. Maybe he'll be brought back to the island with Ben + co. and he'll become something like Christian - not quite dead not quite alive.

Trouble is - although Christian is seemingly an important character; we've never seen him on the island before when he was 'alive' and I don't know if there's enough time to develop that. I mean, when would he have stumbled on the island? He was a busy guy being a doctor and all! He never seemed to be that powerful either, and we already have two previous island 'leaders' - Ben and Widmore.

PirateShampoo - some people don't want to know ANYTHING about future episodes.... Please don't even hint at things you know - you'll just piss people off.

that could be a great call afterall his body was never found in the coffin in season 1. It could e like locke taking over his role or something like that

I like that, maybe the island will reward him for his sacrifices, and maybe christian is being rewarded for previous sacrifices?
I hope they give us some more backstory on christian and maybe explain more about his role on the island soon.

I have my own theory that due to the whole time travel element, Jacob may turn out to be Locke. Its just my own idea, nothing to back it up whatsoever so its not exactly a spoiler!

I wouldn't say Locke is Jacob,
the Others didn't recognise him in the 50s

I think it was established from Echo's brother that the ghosts of dead people are not actually the dead people (Echo's brother said "Who do you think I am" or something to Echo before the smoke monster killed him)

How on earth would the Others recognise Locke, its already been shown that only the select few get to see Jacob.

Richard Alpert, now there's the charachter thats bugging me.

Could the coffin on the island that jack found be lockes?

Good call... maybe Jack and Locke are on some kind of repeat mission untill they set it right... then they will be truly saved...
    Its a dream by vincent...

The reason Jacks father can be seen on the island could be the same reason Locke can walk.

Time on the island is different to time in outside world.

Outside world is 2007, island is 1996.

In 96 Locke could walk and Jack's father was alive.

Brilliant idea! This could mean that Christian's coffin (body included) is either elsewhere on the island or was never on the plane to begin with.

Thies is actually a great theory,
But, I checked the two coffins on lostpedia and video clips and the two are different. Lockes is pale and more rounded, The one jack found is dark and more square.

But, there may be hope, the coffin that locke is put in for display in the wedding parlour not nesscerily the one that he will be in to fly back to the island. airline coffin regulations etc
