Hi. I would be interested in programming a jasva application that goes to the vodafone website and logs in to the webtext page. Have good experience with java but would not really know how to go about this sort of thing. Any pointers?

http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/

You can send through http calls, like retrieve the page, then send a request etc
and set parameters on the page
