Hello, I am looking to find out is it possible to work from 9am to 1 pm five days a week and still be able to obtain some form of payment.

I don't think so but you should check with social welfare. You might be able to get supplementary welfare allowance from your local health board though. If you work 3 days or less you can apply for x's and o's where your employer signs a slip saying which days you worked.
