Generally recently they've been training in UL I believe. Not in Leinster.

Before that I know they stayed in Citywest and trained in Forenaughts (Naas) for two years and I believe they will soon be moving up to UUJ on a more permanent basis.

I heard the facilities in Jordanstown are the most advance in the British Isles (Although I know the guys over at Leicester chucked all of their high-tech equipment and went back to shifting tyres and old broken down cars).

They've often trained in UL in Limerick and maybe now they train in a few of the cities to give some of the lads a chance to be at home during camp, move around during the different get togethers. I know Kidney did highlight that the 2 finalists of the W/C used appartments for the players and thier families as opposed to hotels for the squad and then hotels for the families.

They've been in-camp at different venues. This is a part of Kidney's plan for keeping some life in the camp.

At first they were at Johnstown (near Enfield), then UL, then Killiney, then UL again, then Killiney and next week will be in Cork. (edit: They were also at a venue in Mayo last autumn)
They will not be moving anywhere on a permanent basis.

Oops sorry, could be next week, I wasn't listening carefully enough to remember exact wording!

Makes sense though that they'd be back with clubs/provinces this week as Kidney mentioned in post-match chat that he was hoping some of the squad would get run-outs in the Magners L next weekend.

I think they have an open training session at PBC in Cork this week sometime. The moving the camp around is half PR related and half trying to keep the energy level up and boredom of camp down. I think.

On the Thursday night before the France game i was meeting someone in town to pick up my tickets, as i was driving back to the gaff i drove past the Shelbourne Hotel on Stephens Green. There was like 12 Taxis and i saw Luke Fitz and a few other squad members on the foot path with all their O2 bags and gear.

I found this odd though, why all the taxis? I thought maybe they'd flown up from Limerick but i thought a bus would''ve been arranged from the airport. i just thought it was a bit odd anyway

The old regime of camps was meant to be excruciatingly boring and led to players ending up exhausted bored and miserable.

I've heard similar complaints made about S14 rugby (by Howlett in particular) which leads to a lot of them leaving S14 rugby. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they'd been given a day or two off though. Or maybe they will this weekend.

Pretty sure they got a day off during the week between the France and Italy game, so I would say they will definitely get some time off this week. Rightly so too, as you want players who are relaxed and enjoying the tournament instead of stuck in a hotel for weeks on end.

Squad (minus a select few given time off for Magners games) assembles in Cork this coming Wednesday (18th), they said on Newstalk sports show Off The Ball earlier.

Yeah, the squad is moving around, different venues around Ireland.
    I think it's a great idea.
