having sky+ installed this friday

    hi boys n girls.
    im having sky+ installed this coming friday,do i get to keep my old box or will the installer take it with him? would be handy to keep to give to the mother to use as an extra one for her bedroom

    The box belongs to you. If you're worried he might take it, just put it in a cupboard.

    The box is yours to keep since you paid to have it installed and had it for over a year(i presume) the engineer has no authority to take it. What you can do is have it put in another room if you ask him kindly..should have no problems with that.

    Oh and Enjoy your Sky+ your life will never be the same again!!:D

    if the installer insists that he has to take it, we get fined 100euro from our depot if this is found out. so no need to hide it!!

    yeah we got the sky+ HD recently and got the sky+ left with us

    If you ask him to install the box in another room do you not need to then pay a multiroom fee or another subscription charge or something?

    yeah you will - you will need to get a new card and get it activated.
