Imagine this...

You are one of the last survivors of the nuclear post apocalyptic world, the world is overrun with genetically engineered crazy creatures, that escaped from a lab.

So one day you are walking around, scavenging for stuff when one of these creatures starts chasing you, you start running for your life, and you run down some subway and then into something that looks like a shelter, the creature is still running after you, so you find the door(metallic) run into the room, push the close button(there still is electricity in this shelter) but the door only half closes, this creature runs up to it, can't get through, but the door is jammed and you see the creature and it sees you and tries to break through and it makes awful sounds.

You turn around and you find yourself in a shelter with supplies(no weapons though) and commodities to last for a long time but there is no other exit, and when you pushed the close button, the outer door closed aswell trapping both, you and the creature, separated by one half closed, jammed door...

So what would you do? would you go crazy? would you commit a suicide? would you try to reason with it?

Or would you get used to the creature trying to break through the half opened door that looks like it might give out any moment.

Well, what can you do, what are your choices? There's no weapons, so you can't really fight as a choice.

I guess I would take it easy and eat food until the door caves in, and then try my luck with my fists. What else can I do?

I'd open up to the creature, offer it some food, lend an ear and then once a bond had been established i'd make my move, maybe a bit of Barry White first, & we'd live happily ever after!

PS: Eat the food and wait for the creature to starve to death & then eat him.

I'd just keep throwing random kicks and punches at the creature. It will either die through starvation or get beaten to death.

Why would you not beat the creature to death with the supplies (keep hitting it around the head with a tin of beans, or whatever).

Then you'd be locked in a room with plenty of supplies, commodities and creature brains. Much better.

Genetically engineered crazy creature?
Why are you assuming it's hostile.
Genetic engineered and crazy don't necessarily equal murderous.
"Chasing you" and "awful sounds" don't mean this either.


Also, is this just an allegory for painful death (and having knowledge of same).

If it was supply food it'd all be in huge 'Dharma Initiative' style tins, so you'd hurl a few dozen of those at the bast*rd.
