As well as standard questions which apply to all categories, you may be asked a few questions relation to legal speed limit for a truck, exemptions from 3 tonne exclusions, maximum permissable side/rear overhang, vehicle markings, maximum axle weights, precautions if using tipping equipment etc.

When it came to roadsigns I was asked to recognise the 3 ton weight restriction sign and then asked what was the gvw of the truck I was driving for the test followed by the warning sign for restricted headroom where upon he asked what height was my truck.

So make sure to know your vehicle's dimensions, this will be second nature if its a truck you drive on regular basis but if its a test school truck be sure to make a mental note of it before you go in for the test. He also asked what is the correct procedure in the event of a breakdown (the warning triangle). Besides that it was normal stuff like who to give right of way to when approaching a roundabout etc.

    Best of luck.

That reminds me that, during the test, if the examiner askes that you take the next available right/left, the next actual right/left may have a 3 tonne restriction.
