Why do I always feel like I need to poop after smoking a cigarette?

Is it just me or is it perfectly normal?

I'f I even think there is a bathroom event on the horizon having a cigarette will usually confirm it for me.

Combine it with a coffee and it's a sure thing.

add orange juice into the mix and it will be like a load of old boots falling down the stairs

I read about this somewhere. Apparently there's a reason for it. Nicotine increases activity in the bowel and regulates it somewhat. Hence the need to void. I do know people who had troubel in that dept when they gave up the gaspers. There was some evidence that certain bowel disorders (colitis and IBS) was less in smokers than non smokers. Bowel cancer was higher so not really a good bet though.:o:)
