Anyone know where to get these, I've tried 7dayshop & MyMemory.co.uk but neither stock them  & I would rather not get them from ebay

    I've already got 2 of those 4GB 20MB/s cards :)

I'm thinking of getting a 4 or 8GB 30MB/s version which is supposed to be optimised for the Nikon D90 for high speed shooting

D90, D300, D700, D3 and D3x are optimized for UDMA cards like the ultimate IV at 40mb/s (I have a D300 and an 8gb ultimate IV and I can't fill the buffer)

ultimate III is not an UDMA card, will work well but not as well as the IV (I have the 2 and the difference is notorious)

You are talking about CF cards, the D90 uses SDHC cards only :)

Have used this crowd in the past without any problems.

    4GB, 8GB.

I'd recommend kingston, they go a little quicker than the sandisk III

Not according to this website they don't. The OP mentions D90 which is also my camera, this website says that the Sandisk Extreme III 4GB and 8GB were top of the pops on the D90....

That said, the Sandisk Extreme IIIs are very expensive compared to the equivalent Kingstons.

Bought the Extreme III 30 mb/s from 7dayshop.
    It wasn't listed as the 30 mb/s edition, but that's what I received :)

I have a sandisk extreme III 12 GB and a an extreme IV 8GB. I got both on ebay for a fraction of what you would pay here and what are cheap on line stores. However. There are fake sandisk card for sale on ebay. If you do a google on "fake sandisk extreme cards" you will get an ebay link which has links to Certified Genuine & Authentic sellers. I only checked the 1st one but you can get the 8gb version with a really handy little usb card reader for about €45 plus shipping. It's 30 something without the card reader.
