I'm try to remove the oil cap to add oil. The cap has writing saying "click" and an arrow clockwise. when I turn it that way the cap just clicks and doesn't come off.when I turn it the other way it does the same. Just pulling it does nothing.
    Can any one HELP ASAP?

Also when in 2nd gear the car chuggs before it takes off. It only happens in 2nd and is worse if going fairly slow around the corner.

    Any advice welcome

Just guessing here, but it might be like the childproof caps on medicine. Try pressing down while turning in the direction of the arrow.

Turn it anti-clockwise to loosen it. The clicks indicate that you have tightened it enough after replacing it.

    Righty tighty, lefty loosey!
