    Hi all,

I'd like to upgrade to Sky+ but as an existing customer it appears its €99 + €100 installation. Robbery compared to new customers offer!

Has anyone bargained them down, and any suggestions for the best way to go about this?

Also Im thinking of upgrading my TVs, looking at special offer Panasonic 42"plasma for 699, and smaller Toshiba 32" €499 for other room. There also Samsung 32" for €369 at Pixmania. I posted these tv queries in Home Entertainment but no replies yet so hoping its ok to ask here. I can post model numbers if needed.

    many thanks

    h

What most people forget is that they got a free Standard box when they sign up so now people are able to take a Sky plus box at a reduced rate at signup and a standard box free only if they sign up for multiroom at the beginning.

I personally think €199 for the box is an extremely cheap price for the range of options available with the Sky+...a decent PVR is much more expensive

However cheaper option would be to check out EBAY for a second hand box but personally that isnt an option I would explore or ring sky and try being forceful about wanting it for a cheaper price you might be lucky...worth a try costs nothing to ask...

i have read on another forum that if you have a second sky plus box, you ring them and tell them that the kids have broke the card they will send you another one, you then have two sky plus boxes running. dunno what advantage it would be tho.
