Dawn chorus started already?

Was woken up about 6ish this morning by what sounded like a couple of blackbirds and a robin belting their little lungs out. Is this territorial and dawn chorus activity or just street lights keeping them up all night?

Anyone else being woken up early by the birds yet?

Its been great the last couple of mornings. Mild, fairly calm and the birds get going.

Yes indeed. This is our first spring here and we are hearing the birds now. And a pheasant is calling nearby also.

Same here, I had the bedroom window open this morning 6.15 lying back and listening to it, pure heaven.

Dawn chorus in full swing up here in Co. Cork, great tits and coal tits are really vocal. I heard a raven calling this morning as well. I can't wait for the warblers to arrive next month, somehow hearing the first willow warbler and chiffchaff make all the gloomy winter months worthwhile.
