OH GOD PLEASE HELP ME, MY WHOLE JAW IS SORE AND I KEEP FAINTING FROM THE PAIN

Hi, I'm an 20 year old girl and my wisdom tooth is coming up (top left) and I'm so sleep deprived from the pain and i keep fainting and throwing up, this is what i have tried already tor elieve the pain; (bare in mind these are all in a few hours, yes i know its stupid, but you would try anything too if your pain was as bad as mine)

    -3 nurofen
    -Difene (strong anti-inflammatory prescription painkiller)
    -2 solpadine
-bathing the area in whiskey (Jameson)
    -clove oil
    -clove oil mixed with pepper
    -salt, pepper and clove oil
    -rubbing vodka on the area
    -bonjela and medigel
    -children teething gel
-sore gum gel, that requires massaging
-brushing teeth about 40 milliom times
-sleeping (only makes the symptoms worse)

I am in so much pain...and as you can see i have tried an extensive amount of "remedies" and i use inverted commas because, none of them have worked, none of the tablets worked, the whiskey worked but wore off in a few seconds, clove oil burnt my mouth and made me gag, but same, it didn't help (same thing with the mixtures containing clove oil), bonjela only numbed my tongue and did nothing for my gums same goes for the teething gel and sore gum gel, brushing lasted for about 2 minutes, but it massaged my gums and gave loads of relief for a short amount of times, sadly, keeoping the tooth brush by my side and using it without toothpaste did nothing, and sleeping just made everything worse.

ok, to help you guys help me i'm gonna tell you all what exactly is going on in my mouth: ok so wisodm teeth have started coming up. The only one showing at the moment is my top left. basically, that is causing some pain, although i think it may be a tooth, 2 up from my wisdom tooth that was chipped (think of a typical molar and how there is four points, imagine one of those points being chipped off), so it is an open tooth. I think the nerve is showing or is just easily irritated, also my family has a history of gum disease, only mild forms, but im not sure if i have it. I eat well, drink water and hate softdrinks, i don't floss however, I brush 3 times a day and with a soft bristled tooth brush (recommended by the dentist for my age), i use sensodyne toothpaste and mouth wash so im not sure if that is what i have (gum disease). However i have a slight inkling that it may be as it is based around my gums.

please help me try and solve this before the dentist. I have no queries with the dentist at all. Just everytime i make an appointment there they manage to mess up the times or dates, OR completely forget to put my in the schedule.

if anybody has any ideas i would be forever grateful.

    Thanks Cai :)

P.S. sorry for the amount of text, just takes my mind off the pain for a little bit :)oh and if anybody in dublin around the blanchardstown area know of any emergency dentists the info would also be gratefully received

OP, the solution is to go to a dentist. They will do an X-Ray and find out what needs to be done. I went to a dentist up in Finglas a few weeks back and they'll look at you no problem.

From what my dentist told me if you need to have a wisdom tooth removed it's far easier to remove problematic ones from the top like yours than the bottom, as I was told bottom ones are notoriously difficult to deal with.

Ok so this is no longer relevant:)

I went to the dentist and turns out that the result of the chip was that the tooth had become a "shell" (direct quote from the dentist) and the nerve had become infected, causing the pain. since the tooth was only a shell, if pressure from a forceps used in a regular extraction would have made the tooth crumble and make it much more difficult to get rid of and treat the nerve, so it was surgically removed. meaning that my gums were slit and the tooth pulled out and a small chunk from my top jaw bone removed. Not sure what they did with the nerve (if anybody would know) but the pain is gone so no more home remedies for me :D

life is good once more ha ha
