Must have changed the glue they used. I always remembered the only good thing about gamestop was their stickers came off easy.

Buy from somewhere that isn't ripping you off in future? :D

I used to use Jif, myself. Did the trick.

You can get this label remover spray in Maplins(or at least could 2 years ago...) that does the trick. It smells kind of lemony. Spray it on, leave it for a min, sticker peels off.

For that sticky sticker residue... Acetone, found as nail polish remover. Your ma, sister, g/f, wife, or daughter will have that 'to hand'.

Wow... some people have so much worries.

    Peal
    Wipe with cleaner
    Dry

    Done

I'm sure someone somewhere (probably america) has set up a wiki dedicated to properly sticker removal and all references are checked against government websites.

Dab Mr. Sheen on it and leave for a good few minutes. A little secret of mine, will remove or lubricate any gum or sticker based glue. Works great for gum based labels on glass as well as plastic.

Run your finger softly over the residue in circular motions, then wipe off with a tissue of some sort.

I wouldn't advise white spirit, it can react with certain materials, leaving a white foggy\milky stain.

Well, aren't we a bit cranky these days? If it's beneath you to answer, why bother?

    Blu-tac also works.
