    is it ok to have a first date on valentines night ok... or is it a big no no??

    The only reason not to do it on valentines night is that every where will be jammed full of couples if you're going to dinner or whatever, other than that is just another day.

    Lets face it, it may possibly raise expectations a little given the night that's in it. I wouldn't worry too much though.

    After all St. Valentine is the saint of those finding love, not those in love - that belongs to St. Raphael me thinks. Therefore, it might work out if you believe in patron saints and the like

    I wouldn't have a first date on valentine's day, but if ye do try to have it where ye won't be surrounded by loved up couples,
