    Right at the tail end of what is arguably the most dreary time of year; in one of the most depressing of economic climates this little sparkling jem of car crash television comes like a careering wreak to our flat screens. Hopeless, broke and just when I think life can't get any worse along comes Mr. Linda Martin. A saviour dressed in the finest of Liffey Street evening wear, peddling a clatter of overgrown delusional Billy Barry kids. The sight of three D-lister judges trying to convince the nation that a band that was once a support act to a carvery lunch at the Red Cow Hotel is good enough to beat a Lithuanian transvestite is more than enough to convince me that life isn't all that bad after all.

    Thank you Eurosong 09. Thank you RTE. May the worst act win.
