Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Managed to lose this position in an Armstrong Cup game this season. I was white. I felt I had no good plan during the middlegame. Anyone familiar with this position?

    1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 g6 6.f3 Bg7 7.Be3 0-0 8.Bc4 Nc6 9.Qd2 Bd7 10.0-0-0 Rc8 11.Bb3 Ne5 12.Bh6 Bxh6 13.Qxh6 Rxc3 14.bxc3 Qa5

well the natural plan should be to open the h-file with h4-h5 and mate him on h8, while trying not to get mated on the queenside. Black's plan is to go Qa5, Rc8, Nc4 and try and mate you down there. His plan is slightly faster, but in return you are up in material, so I'd guess chances are about equal.
