Ok, to supplement my radio income, im thinking of getting into gigging. I need advice as to what forms of gigging I should think of and how to go about it. As far as Im aware there are various forms of gigs: nightglubs / pubs, private parties / corporate functions. What equipment would I need? I have used BPM software before on a laptop which ive found to be very good, so Im happy with that, I am however clueless as to the hardware and cost(lights, rig, speakers etc). Is my option the private function route or pub dj or both. Im not into the club dj mixing stuff, dont have a clue, so no point attempting it. any answers would be appreciated. Also any clues as to how much a gigging dj gets these days? Thanks lads.

Do you have any of the equptment already??? What genre interests you??? It can be a very expensive hobby DJ'ing. Price you'll get all depends on where and what scene you will be playing for.. What radio do you work at if you dont mind me asking???
