Samsung LE40A686, TV stands, Home cinema system

    Hey lads,
    Im planning on buying this TV from Richersounds today or tomoro. They are quoting me €950 for TV + 5 year warranty + delivery. Just wondering what people think of this deal? Without the warranty it would be €85 less, is the warranty worth it or not? Is there anywhere else that i could get a better deal?

    Also thinking ot getting a TV stand from somewhere, deos anyone have any useful links of places to look.

    Also looking ofr ahome cinema system (5.1 surround) with 1080p upscale and USB port. Looking at the Sony DAVDZ260 or Philips HTS3164, both around €150.

    For €85 I'd take the warranty. I have a sammy 42 plasma that had a capicitor pop in it 2 days after a year expired, didn't have extended warranty. I now have random red sparklies down one side of the screen. Annoying but not critical. Don't notice them all the time, but I know they're there if you know what I mean.

    If you're buying that TV get yourself a blueray & really see the benefit of it. I'm still amazed two months later. Then get a surround sound system. I think richers have the sammy BD1500 for about £150

    You'll struggle to get a deal as good as that. RS really are an excellent company with excellent service. You won't be disappointed with the 6 series at all either. I have one too and it is an amazing telly

    I've also got a sony DZ260. Completely recommend that too.Amazing when gaming in 5.1 with it! Its a very good upscaler too.
