    Hi,
Got into racing bikes over the summer while holidaying in France with my friend's family

I want to now get a bike of my own, wondering what people would recommend, looking to spend up to €400

Any help would be appreciated

    Hi there :)

With 400 you won't get any decent racer, but you can get a decent road bike. Lots of us in here have Beone bikes (including my self) and we are quite happy about it. You can see the Storm 2.0 model here.

Here is a silly novice question, whats the difference between a racer and a road bike..?

I am by far not the correct person to answer this, but in my mind a racer is a high spec bike for.. racing (expensive wheels, etc etc) vs a road bike that can either be a tourer or just a commuter or just a leisure bike.

And i just might be complete wrong :)

I bought a trek 1000, is that a racer or a road big. I was thinking the same question.

I might have created a topic here out of nothing and we are destroying the original one. I don't know if there is any difference between calling a bike a racer or a road, i just have these two things in my mind seperated.

Yeah I wasn't really sure if there was a difference
I suppose a road bike would be more suitable for the roads around Dublin anyway

Do most people buy their bikes online or are there any decent and reasonable shops?

    I appreciate all the help!
