Marathon Training schedule and stretching guide

I'm a novice runner and don't know any of the jargon which many seasoned runners seem to use.

I started running last August and built up to twelve miles but then injured my achillies tendon on one leg and my IlioTibial Band on the other leg and haven't been out since.

I'm considering training for the Dublin Marathon this year and would like two things:
1)A pre and post-run stretching guide, complete with diagrams, to minimise the chance of injuries.
2)A training schedule to complete the marathon within specific times.

Does anyone know where I can download these online?

    Thanks in advance.

There are lots of stretching guides out there - other people can give better advice than me about it.

As for intro plans the two best I know of are from the Furman Institute or the ever reliable Hal Higdon.

Many injuries - especially ITB - are caused by overuse - stepping up intensity or distance too soon or in too big a jump, neither should go up by more than 10% per week.

Stay around here and feel free to ask any questions!
