Your Favourite Irish Humour Stories

Irish humour is something I do miss while living aboard. Irish humour has the kind of jokes that nobody outside our Island fully gets. Either the just dont get, dont find it half as funny or are insulted by it. Father Ted is the mecca of Irish Humour, it went down well in the UK but not a cult classic, id say americans wouldnt find it funny or if it was translated into French, German or Spanish they wouldnt find it funny either.

My favourite bit of Irish Humour was when Mary McAleese had just greeted the players the first time Ireland played England in Croke Park and she was on way to take her seat, being televised on TV and the Jumbotron...as she was walking past Bertie Ahern, Bertie greeted her by giving her a peck on the cheek and the whole stadium went "WOOHOOO". It was such a ridiculously childish moment...but fcuking hilarious, especially since it came just before the very serious moment of the singing of God Save the Queen in Croke Park.

What are ye guys favourite Irish Humour moments/jokes?

I find it hilarious how Irish lads who have been on the Dole for the last 6 years can say all the polish are taking our jobs when they have never really put any effort into looking for one!!!

And How Irish people find Tommy Tiernan funny, but noone else quite gets it..
