hi guys,
one of the guest at our wedding is a jeweller and he has said as his present to us he will make our wedding rings for us. He had previously made the engagement ring and done a wonderful job. Its a lovely gesture but the problem is that we have two rings picked out already. Know i know that he would be able to reproduce them to an exceptional quality but the problem is the cost of them in the shop is way beyond anything id ever expect him to have to pay for the cost of the metal and the stones, never mind the time it would take to make them.
Is there anyway of finding out what price a jeweler sources the metal and stones for so i can get an approximate idea of how much it would cost him ?

I know its an awkward question but any help would be great
