I'd say the high mileage, road tax of close to €1000 pa and the fact the car is 19 years old will put alot of people.

I think its about the money -> if tested

Possibly desirable in years to come, not now with tax etc ......
Wouldnt worry too much about miles, being a oil burner

It's 19 years old in fairness.

On a related note (really meant to keep this), has anyone seen the quarter page ad for a privately owned, 'one lady owner' Hyundai Coupe that has appeared in the Sunday Times 'Driving' section over the last few months? It reads like the owner thinks it's something really special...

I mean a Quarter page ad (colour i think) in a national Sunday paper?
    For a Hyundai Coupe?
It doesn't add (no pun intended!) up...

yep, i've seen that, asking c €20K and no (if any) reduction. IIRC there's also been a similar recurring ad for a black SLK AMG32 in the same paper

I regularly look and have seen 1990's BWMs on carzone for the last 1-2 yrs, at least tho the prices have finally taking a knock lately.
There also some clown in galway trying to sell a Sierra cosworth on English plates for arounf 7K in Galway for prob the last year. Its in the advertiser ever single week, he must know someone there cause it about 25ish for a colour add each week

Yeah it's a 156 GTA 3.2 V6 unregistered with 700mls on the clock. I think Alfa stopped making them in 2004 so it's been siting there at least ~5 years!!! It hasn't budged one bit on the price either. They must be dreaming if they think that they'll sell it at that price at the moment.

This Morris Minor has been there as long as I can remember too:

Yes, that original Tipperary South plate is desirable, but no Series II Minor is worth that kind of money, even if it had 200 miles from new and its one previous owner was Mother Teresa. This one's 54,745 miles also means that the gearbox is undoubtedly shot.

Yep I've been wondering about that one too. The ad sure draws your attention but at the price she's looking for, there obviously isn't any interest
